SERVICES - Metabolite Profiling/Identification
Metabolite profile comparison allows the selection of the most relevant animal species for drug properties related to human drug metabolism (e.g. safety studies).  Metabolite profiling and identification studies can be designed to answer critical drug development questions. These include:

-     The animal species that produce a metabolite profile similar to human would be considered a relevant animal species.

-     The use of pooled liver microsomes allows the evaluation of metabolites formed by phase I oxidation (mainly P450 oxidation).

-     The use of pooled hepatocytes allows the evaluation of metabolites formed by all hepatic drug metabolizing enzyme pathways, including both phase I and phase II pathways.

-     With IdMOC technology, drug metabolism can also be measured when exposed to multiple organs in co-culture to observe potential drug metabolism in an in vivo organism. The IdMOC assay techniques can be applied with cells or tissue slices.

We will have results for you within weeks from study initiation. Contact us to obtain a sample protocol and pricing.
